Simple geometry and clean lines are the cornerstone to Alex Horst’s gemstone carvings and jewelry creations because they allow the elegance and beauty of nature to speak for itself.  Metal is employed to create a functional frame for the stones. Gemstones are added – either sparkling or opaque – to create visual texture, brilliance and balance.  But it is, primarily, the counterbalancing of the ductile properties of gold and silver with the rigid fragility of gemstones that most inspires Alex’s passion for creating jewelry.

Southwestern Jewelry Cuffs and More.

These bracelets started their lives as vintage cowboy belts. The old school hand-tooled belts we like best were made by a company called “Chambers,” founded in 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona. We top the bracelet with silver, copper, old coins, American turquoise, and/or gemstones using traditional silversmithing techniques to create one-of-a-kind Southwest style embellishments.
